Summer Book Club, Ages 9-12

Service Description

In this course, students will expand and deepen their connection with literature. The group will read challenging but age appropriate novels to exercise reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. Our shortlist of novels is comprised of "tried and true" classics for this age group as well as Newbery recipients, and we'll use ranked choice voting to select each book. We'll meet mostly via zoom to accommodate travel over the Summer. Please note that while there are eight sessions on the calendar, the package for purchase only includes attendance for six meetings. (We do this as families aren't paying for sessions they may have to skip due to vacations, camp, etc. Of course, you're welcome to purchase more sessions if you'd like!)
